Compatibility
Compatible Devices
Every device family we write guides for, what each one needs, and how to tell whether hardware you already own will cope.
The only real requirement
A device works if it can install an IPTV player app and reach the internet. That is the whole test. There is no proprietary box to buy, nothing to flash, and no hardware supplied with your subscription — you are given account details, and you put them into software that already runs on the screens you own.
How to tell whether your hardware will cope
Compatibility and capability are different questions. An eight-year-old smart TV may install a player happily and still struggle to decode a high-bitrate stream smoothly. The symptom tells you which problem you have: a stream that will not start at all is usually a settings or network issue, while a stream that plays but judders in a regular rhythm is usually the device working at its limit.
If you are in that position, the cheapest fix is almost always a current streaming stick plugged into a spare HDMI port. It bypasses the television’s own ageing software entirely and costs a fraction of a new set.
One subscription, several devices
Install the player wherever you like and enter the same details each time. Only simultaneous playback is limited, by the connection count on your plan. In practice that means a phone in the kitchen and a television in the living room can both be running on a two-connection plan, and a third screen would need a third connection.
